Seminole track & field teams facing strong tests at Florida Relays and Stanford Invitational


Unheralded but promising young sprint star...made her collegiate debut for the Seminoles during the 2012 indoor season...had a busy and productive inaugural ACC Championship experience...ran the 400 leg (56.35) on FSU's ACC record-setting (11:08.17) distance medley relay team...also contributed the fastest leg (55.77) to the Seminoles' 4x400 relay (3:46.29), which finished fifth and enabled the `Noles to hold on to the runner-up position...also advanced to the 200m final, finishing fifth in a season-best 24.10...ran season-best 400 (56.23) at SPIRE Invitational...will have a busy outdoor schedule between the two relays and potentially the 200/400 double. Personal: Did not run high school track as DeKalb School of the Arts does not offer a program...has run for only three years, predominantly with the New Horizons Track Club through the USATF Junior program at the state, region and national levels...has competed in a variety of races ranging from 55- to 800-meters...strong student who earned a spot on the Dean's List in her first semester...majoring in political science...born May 31, 1993.
