FSU track carries Seminole Invitational momentum in conference meet


Redshirt sophomore is making her first NCAA postseason appearance in the pole vault after a banner outdoor season...has teamed with sophomore Seminole Hannah Acton to provide FSU with a solid and ever-improving 1-2 punch in the event...ranks No. 4 all-time among Seminoles on the top 10 outdoor list.


Outdoor: Came up with her finest performance at the ACC Outdoor Championships, clearing a career-best 3.98 meters (3-0.75) to place fifth overall as the `Noles secured the team title and ACC Triple eight outdoor meets this spring she has posted six top-five finishes, including meet wins at the Seminole Twilight and Seminole Invitational...has cleared 3.90 meters or better four times.

Indoor: Registered her first ACC Championships scoring performance with a seventh-place showing to help the Seminoles to the team title...rebounded from a slow start with a breakthrough vault (3.87m/12-8.25) at the Cherry & Silver Invitational...followed up a week later with the first 13-foot clearance of her career at the Razorback Invitational, where her indoor personal-best of 3.97 meters (13-0.25) was good for fourth place in the college section...currently ranks No. 3 all-time among `Noles with that vault.


Outdoor: Narrowly missed earning an NCAA East Preliminary qualifying mark in her first outdoor season of competition...posted a personal-best vault of 3.75 meters (12-3.50) at the Florida Relays, where she finished eighth...matched that mark at the ACC Outdoor Championships, where she was ninth...competed in seven meets with her top finish (third) coming at home in the Seminole Invitational.

Indoor: Made her Florida State debut after sitting out the 2012 season as a redshirt...competed in five meets...posted a then lifetime-best vault of 3.70 meters (12-1.50) at the Tyson Invitational, where she finished fifth in the college section...placed 11th at her first ACC Indoor Championships appearance.

Personal: Picked up the pole vault late in her career at Bishop Moore High School after spending 12 years as a competitive gymnast...outstanding student with multiple Dean's List appearances...majoring in meteorology...born April 15, 1994.
