• Placed third in the discus at the Seminole Twilight with a throw of 46.74m/ 153-04.00.

• Threw a career best shot put toss of 15.43m/50-07.50 at the Disney Invitational to earn first place.

• Took third place in the shot put at the Seminole Twilight with a shot put mark of 15.20m/ 49-10.50.

Indoor-

• Earned a gold medal with her first place toss of 52-02.00/15.90m in the shot put throw at the ACC Indoor Championship.

• Took second place in the shot put at the Virginia Tech Invitational with a mark of 15.82m/51-11.00.

• Finished in fifth place with a shot put mark of 15.17m/49-09.25 at the Tyson Invitational.

2008 Track:

Outdoor -

• Redshirted during the outdoor season.

• Took third in the shot put at the US Junior National Championships with a top throw of 15.65m/51-03.00.

• Competed unattached at the Seminole Twilight.

Indoor -

• Shattered the school record in the shot put with a toss of 53-05.50/16.29m at the Tyson Invitational.

• Beat the old mark by more than two feet.

• Placed fifth in the shot put with a toss of 50'.00.75 at the ACC Championships.

• Recorded three NCAA Provisional tosses throughout the season.

Prep:

• Outdoor National Champion in shot put all four years in high school.

• Also won the USA Junior Championships and the Nike Championships.

• Earned the bronze medal in discus at the IAAF World Youth Championships in Marrakech, Morocco.

• Tossed a personal best of 49.64 meters/162 feet, 10 inches to secure the fourth medal of Team USA in the discus event.

• Also swam for two years in high school.
