Track 'Noles strike for success on first day of East Preliminary meet
Thirty-four Seminoles will compete in the three-day NCAA East Preliminary meet.

First-year Seminole qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary in the 10,000-meter run as the No. 6 seed...only race at that distance produced the No. 2 time in FSU history (32:56.90)...outstanding student who is working on her graduate degree.
Outdoor: Was outstanding in her collegiate 10,000 debut, finishing second at the ACC Championships in a tremendous duel with a lifetime-best mark...those eight points helped the `Noles win the ACC Outdoor Championship and complete the Triple Crown...had an East Preliminary-worthy qualifying mark in the 5,000 as well (16:13.77) while setting a track record in victory at the Crimson Tide Invitational.
Indoor: Qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the 5,000-meter run following her first full season of indoor competition and finished 9th, one spot shy of first-team All-American honors...set the FSU school record with a time of 15:58.15 at the Husky Classic...placed third in the 5000 at the ACC Indoor Championships, helping the Seminoles to their first team title since 2009...scored her first collegiate indoor win at the Cherry & Silver Invitational in the 3000m.
2013: Was instrumental in leading the Seminoles to ACC and NCAA South Region titles, as well as an eighth-place team finish at the NCAA Championships...finished in the top six overall in her first seven meets, including wins at the Covered Bridge Invitational and Wake Forest/Pre-ACC meets...placed 6th at Pre-National meet, followed by a 5th-place ACC title showing and a 4th-place finish at the NCAA South Region.
Personal: A first-year transfer from the University of Birmingham in Great Britain, following in the footsteps of former `Noles Hannah England, Barbara Parker and Hannah Brooks, all of whom earned All-American honors at FSU...has represented Great Britain at both the World and European cross country and track & field championships...won 2012 British Universities & College Sport (BUCS) Championship cross country title and placed 12th at European Cross Country Championships...ranked among the top 10 in U23 in UK for both the 5k and 10k on the track from 2008-12...pursuing graduate degree in nutritional science...born August 9, 1991.
