Seminoles add quality distance, field event personnel to signing class

Competed on both the FSU cross country and indoor track teams as a true freshman...helped the cross country team to a 12th-place NCAA Championship finish...selected ACC Cross Country Freshman of the Year; the third consecutive Seminole to claim the honor...competed in the mile, 800 and on the distance medley relay team during the indoor season...ran 1:51.96 800 at the ACC Indoor Championship preliminary heat, missing the the final by .01...posted season-best 4:10.95 at Notre Dame to close the season. Personal: Starred at Miami's Christopher Columbus High, where he led his team to three consecutive state cross country titles...competed in Nike Cross Nationals after winning the NXN Southeast Regional title...won Class 4A state track titles in both the 1600 and 3200 as a junior and senior...recorded high school PR's of 4:09 and 9:07 in those two events...also a member of back-to-back 4x800 relay state championship teams, boasting a personal-best split of 1:50 at the 2011 state meet...Miami-Dade Athlete of the Year in 2011 and twice selected All-Dade as runner of the year...outstanding student who ranked in the top 10 percent of his class...plans to major in chemical engineering and wants to pursue a degree in medicine...born Jan. 17, 1993.
