TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State men's swimming and diving team swept the weekly ACC awards as they were announced by the league office on Tuesday. Senior Tom Neubacher captured his first-career Diver of the Week honor while junior Connor Knight won Swimmer of the Week accolades for the second time in his career.

Neubacher led the Seminoles to a first and second place showing on 1-meter before headlining the sweep on 3-meter as FSU defeated Alabama 179-121 on Saturday. Knight contributed three wins on the day, and led off the 400 free relay that placed third.

"It felt really good," Neubacher said. "I needed to get back into competition in order to get the motivation and adrenaline going. It's pretty cool to win the award and every week I'm motivated to continue to stay on that level."

In his first meet of the season, Neubacher won the 1-meter event by 55 points before topping the 3-meter by 43.1 points for overall scores of 347.10 and 372.95 respectively.

Knight swept the fly races, winning the 200 with ease at 1:47.53 before taking the 100 with a time of 48.13. Both times were better than his marks from the All-Florida Invite.

"My races felt really strong," Knight said. "Overall, I've become stronger. Frank (Bradley) is a great coach and he's helped me gain more confidence in my races. He's taught me how to be comfortable while being uncomfortable and that's really helped my training and preparing for practice and meets. Swimming this fast is going to help me drop a lot of time when it's time for the ACC Championships."

Knight also swam the fly leg of the 200 medley relay that edged out Alabama to start off the meet. The Juno Beach, Fla. native split a 21.69 in the race.

After three weeks of competition, the Seminoles have captured four weekly accolades. In addition to Neubacher and Knight, Kaitlyn Dressel and Pavel Sankovich took home the ACC Swimmers of the Week awards after the All-Florida Invite (10-1).

The Seminoles return home for a meet on Oct.18 as the women will battle Florida Gulf Coast at 2 p.m. in the annual `Paint it Pink' meet at the Morcom Aquatics Center.
