Seminoles.com introduces a new mobile experience for Florida State fans with iPhone and Android devices. The official mobile application of Florida State Athletics offers iPhone and Android owners easy and instant access to video content, up-to-the-minute news, scores, live game play-by-play, stats, schedules, rosters and photo galleries for the 2011-12 school year. The new mobile application is free to download from the iPhone App Store or Android Market.

"We are very excited to deploy these two applications just in time for the start of fall competition," said Ryan Pensy, Assistant Athletics Director for Digital Media. "With the help of our partners, CBS and Silver Chalice, we have created the best Florida State application available anywhere online."

The application provides iPhone and Android owners an interface that gives them immediate mobile access to essential information from Seminoles.com, the official athletic web site of Florida State Athletics. Fans no longer have to wait until they have access to a computer or television to keep up with their favorite Seminoles sport.

The free mobile application will include access to the following features:

• On Demand video content
• Live game scoring
• Previous game and next game schedules and scores
• Live scoring updates
• Play-by-play coverage when game is live
• Player and team stats for football games on both iPhone and Android
• Player and team stats for other sports on Android only
• Box Score
• Schedules and scores
• Rosters
• Photo galleries
• In-app alert system
• Sharing via email and Facebook

The official iPhone application of Florida State Athletics is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices and requires iPhone OS 4.2 or above. The Android version is compatible with any Droid device running Android 2.2 or above.

The application can be downloaded at the iPhone App Store and Android Market by searching for “Florida State Seminoles Sports.”
