TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Senior Landon Marzullo led three current Seminoles on the podium by winning the one-meter competition on Friday at the Southeast Zone Championships at the Morcom Aquatic Center.

"It was really awesome," Marzullo said. "I wasn't watching the results during the meet so I had no idea what the placing was. It's always fun to win, but today was more about sticking with what I know how to do."

Marzullo was follwed by fellow seniors Mike Neubacher and Jordan Horsley who placed third and fourth respectively. All three divers earned a berth to the U.S. National Championship meet in College Station, Texas with their top five performance.

"(Nationals) is going to be great, "Neubacher said. "I've already qualified in platform and now I've got springboard too. It's awesome and I can't wait to get there."

"For me this is a big deal because I'm still fairly new to senior diving," Horsley said. "This gives me a good confidence boost going into tomorrow."

Incoming freshman Thomas Neubacher also earned a berth to Nationals placing second on the one-meter. Senior Katherine Adham placed 15th on the women's three-meter board.

Competition will continue on Saturday with the men's three-meter, women's one-meter and men's three-meter synchro events. Preliminaries for the one and three-meter begin at 12:00 p.m. For results visit www.usadiving.org.
