Rising senior Tiffany Oliver looks to have a breakthrough meet on the national level this week in Indianapolis, Ind.

June 24, 2013

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-  A pair for Florida State swimmers will be competing at the 2013 Phillips 66 U.S. National Championships and World Championship Trials this week at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind.  Starting on Tuesday, rising senior Tiffany Oliver and junior Kaitlyn Dressel will compete in their specialties, the 50m and 100m free events.

"Both of these ladies are looking to have a great breakout meet on the national level,” head coach Frank Bradley said. “Their summer workouts have been great and they've really elevated their training to where we believe we can see some significant time drops. Everything is pointing the right direction in order for Kaitlyn and Tiffany to have a great meet and hopefully earn some second swims.”

The meet runs from June 25-29, and will follow a prelim-final format.  Both Dressel and Oliver will debut with the 100m free on Tuesday and conclude by racing the 50m free on Saturday.  Prelims for each day begin at 9 a.m. with finals following at 6 p.m.

Dressel and Oliver are eligible to qualify for finals if their prelim times are among the top 16 in both races.
