Atlanta, Ga.. - Two more records feel on the second night of competition as the Florida State swimming and diving teams continue to lead the Georgia Tech Invite.
Both records fell on the women's side, with junior Tiffany Oliver claiming the 200 free record with a time of 1:46.72, marking Oliver's second FSU record of the meet. She broke the old mark of 1:46.76 set by Joceyln Phillips back in 2009.
Oliver's victory didn't come easy as sophomore Kaitlyn Dressel was right behind her in second, posting her career best time of 1:46.79.
Junior McKayla Lightbourn lowered her 100 back school record to 54.26 this evening, en route to a first place finish in the event.
In 1-meter diving, senior Ariel Rittenhouse added a win as she posted a score of 320.65.
The men won seven out of the eight events in the session which began with the 200 medley relay and ended with the 800 free relay.
Sophomore Connor Knight continued to lower his 100 fly time, as he posted a 47.09 en route to a first place finish. Senior Mark Weber took third with another career top time of 47.70.
Junior Jared Pike would go on to tie for first place in the 100 breast with a time of 54. 72.
In diving, junior Mikey Lewark had a breakout performance on 3-meter, as he won the event and posted a score of 372.95 just in front of junior Tom Neubacher at 365.95.
