05/09/2012 Twelve Named to All-ACC Academic TeamThe Florida State Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving had 12 athletes achieve All-ACC Academic honors for the 2011-2012 season. 02/25/2012 MVP!FSU grabs two golds on the final night of ACC's as senior Mateo De Angulo took one in the 1650 free before being named the ACC Swimmer of the Meet. The Seminoles finish fourth overall. 02/23/2012 Good as GoldThe Seminoles took two gold medals on the second night of competition in the 200 free relay and the 500 free. 02/22/2012 Day OneThe Seminoles swam two relays tonight and are currently in a tie for fourth place 01/14/2012 Almost PerfectThe women's team picked up two victories today as the men's split both of their meets with ACC opponents in Georgia Tech and North Carolina State. 200 free:1:37.59 500 free: 4:27.60 200 back: 1:46.73 2011-2012: Took tenth in the 500 free with a time of 4:27.60 and placed 12th in the 200 free at 1:38.16 (1:37. 59 prelims) at the ACC Championships...swam in the bonus heat of the 200 back swimming his best time in prelims at 1:46.73. High School: Finished 13th in the men's 100 back at the 2011 Junior Nationals with a time of 57.87... has been labeled the fifth best recruit in the state of North Carolina by collegeswimming.com...placed second in the 100 back at the 2011 YMCA Nationals... was Broughton High School's MVP 2009-2011...was a part of the 200, 400 and 800 free relays that broke national records at YMCA nationals...is a member of the the YMCA of the Triangle Area where he holds the record for the 100-meter back and is coached by FSU alumni Chad Onken...also owns junior national qualifying marks in seven different events.
Personal: Born June 27, 1992...son of Joe and Karen Rogers...graduated from Broughton High School in 2011 where he achieved high honors all four years where he also completed 125 hours of community service...was a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American...plans to major in Sports Management.
