Women's NCAA Swimming Meet Selections Announced

Seven members of the Florida State women's swimming team will swim at the NCAA Championships on March 20-22.

The nationally ranked Florida State swimming and diving teams defeated two ACC teams on Saturday in Raleigh, N.C.

2013-14: Qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 100 breast...helped the Seminoles to an All-American honorable mention swim in the school record setting 400 medley relay...swam a career best in the 100 breast at the Bulldog Last Chance Invite of 1:00.67 en route to a first place finish...was 11th in the 100 breast at the 2014 ACC Championships...helped the Seminoles achieve an NCAA `A' cut in the 200 medley relay while finishing six...also swam the breaststroke leg in the 400 medley relay...swam her best 200 breast in the dual against Florida Atlantic with a 2:14.35.

2012-2013: Placed seventh in her ACC Championship final debut in the 100 breast with a time of 1:02.39... took 15th in the 200 breast and earned a second swim in the 200 IM at the ACC Championships...swam the breaststroke leg of the fifth place finishing 400 medley relay at ACC's...swam her season best times in both the 100 breast (1:02.37) and 200 breast (2:16.92) at the Georgia Tech Invite in the fall.

High School: Was crowned the state champion in the 100 breast her junior and senior season while breaking Wisconsin's State Record in the event...added another state title in the 200 free her senior season...earned All-American honors while swimming for Muskego High School in both the 100 breast and 200 free in her sophomore through senior seasons...Placed 39th at the 2012 Olympic Trials in the 100 breast with a 1:10.92 while representing SWAT...swam her best time in the 100 breast at the 2011 Junior National Championships at 1:10. 66 en route to a second place finish.

Personal: Born April 5, 2012...daughter of Scott and Judy Pochowski...Graduated from Muskego High School in 2012 where she was on the honor roll all four years...earned the Academic Presidents Honor her senior year...A member of SWAT where she is coached by Bob White Jr...majoring in Exercise Science.
