FSU Hands Outs Season Awards

Four Seminoles earned multiple honors at the end of the year award banquet.

2013-14: Was named the 2013-14 ACC Swimmer of the Year...became the first Seminole in history to earn a pair of individual event All-America honors on the same night at the NCAA Championships...placed second at NCAAs in the 100 fly with a new ACC record time of 45.00 before taking eighth in the 100 back...helped the Seminoles to the highest relay finish in school history, where FSU posted a fourth place finish in the 200 medley relay after a sixth place finish in the 400 medley relay at NCAA's...was named ACC Swimmer of the Meet after turning in three individual wins on top of a relay win...swam new FSU and ACC records in the 200 IM, 100 fly and 100 back races...also helped FSU to a pair of silvers in the 200 medley and 400 free relay races at ACC's...earned Swimming World's national swimmer of the week after ACC's...was named ACC Swimmer of the Week twice during the season...is a part of five FSU records...was named the FSU MVP at the end of the year banquet.

2012-13:Earned All-American honorable mention in three events at the 2013 NCAA Championships...became the first in FSU history to score in the 200 IM at NCAA's (16th)...led off the 200 medley relay that placed 10th before taking 11th in the 100 back at NCAA's...burst on to the scene by swimming three individual gold medals and added one relay gold as he was named the ACC Swimmer of the Meet...smashed the FSU and ACC records in the 200 IM (1:43.22) and 100 back (45.86)at ACC's...added a bronze at ACC's in the 400 medley relay before ending the meet with a silver as the anchor of the 400 free relay...made his debut for the Noles in the win against NC State and Georgia Tech.

Prep: Sankovich is a two-time Olympian (2008 Beijing and 2012 London) for Belarus...placed 18th in the 100m back at the 2012 London games with a 54.53, just two-tenths away from the semifinals...also swam the 100 fly at the London Games...qualified for Beijing in the 100 fly and the 4x100 medley relay...owns the Belarusian National Record in the 50m back with a 25.25...competed in the 2012 FINA Short Course World Championships where he placed 11th in the 50 back and 13th in the 100 back in Moscow...qualified for the 2011 FINA World Championships in Shanghai, China.
