2012-13: Earned an All-American honorable mention status as the breaststroker in the 200 medley relay that took 10th at the NCAA Championships...was a part of the ACC and FSU record-setting 200 medley relay that took gold at ACC's with a time of 1:24.84...swam a career best in the 100 breast at 54.10 at the ACC Championships, taking seventh...earned a second swim in the 200 breast at ACC's touching with a time of 1:59.53.
2010-2012: Spent last two seasons as a member of the NJCAA National Champion Indian River State College swim team...was a four-time NJCAA National Champion in the 100 and 200 breast...was also a three-time national champion as a member of both the 200 and 400 medley relay teams...earned a berth in the South African Olympic Trials in both the 100 and 200 breast while representing Southern Dolphins Aquatics...was also the South African short course National Champion in 2011 in the 50m and 100m breast events...took fourth in the 200m breast...grabbed the bronze in the 200m breast at the 2012 short course South African National Championships.
High School: Attended St. Benedict's College for Boys from 2005-2009 where he was elected captain his senior year...was a four-year MVP for St. Benedict's...was selected to represent South Africa at the Junior Africa Championships where he was a three-time silver medalist in the 50m, 100m breaststroke and 200m freestyle events...a member of the gold medal winning 4x50 free relay while representing the South African Schools at the Pacific Schools Games in Melbourne, Australia in 2005...qualified for 2008 South African Olympic Trials.
Personal: Born April 4, 1991...son of Andrew and Carolyn Pike...father Andrew represented South Africa in 1991-1992 for rowing but just missed qualifying for the Barcelona Olympic games...made the Dean's List while at Indian River State College...also played cricket, tennis, soccer and field hockey...is a member of the Southern Dolphins Aquatics where he was coached by Carolyn Pike under the mentorship of Koroly Von Toros where he was a two-time South African Olympic Trials qualifier...majoring in Psychology.
