FSU Hands Outs Season Awards

Four Seminoles earned multiple honors at the end of the year award banquet.


Eight Earn ACC All-Academic

Six women and two men from the FSU swimming and diving teams were named to the ACC All-Academic Team.


FSU Women Turn in a Solid Season

The 2013-14 FSU women's swimming and diving season showed improvement under first year head coach Frank Bradley.


Noles Conclude with a Pair of Honorable Mentions

Madison Jacobi placed ninth in the 1650 free and the 400 free relay took 14th on the final day of the NCAA Championships.


Seniors Headline Day Two of NCAA Championships

Seniors Julia Henkel and McKayla Lightbourn placed 16th in their individual races at the NCAA Championships.

200 free: 1:46.57

500 free: 4:37.77

1000 free: 9:40.81

1650 free: 16:01.09

2013-2014: Became the fastest distance swimmer in Florida State history after setting new records in all three of the distance races ...earned an All-America honorable mention status in the 1650 free after taking ninth with a career best of 16:01.92...earned All-ACC honors with a pair of bronze medals at the ACC Championships- one in the 500 with a personal best of 4:37.77...her second came after her 16:02.92 showing in the 1650 free where she set to FSU records in one race (1000 split - 9:41.50)...added a 10th place finish in the 200 free...anchored the 800 free with a split of 1:44.63 - the second fastest split in the field en route to setting a new FSU record and grabbing the bronze...originally set new FSU records in the 1650 and 500 free at the Auburn Invite.

2012-2013: Qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 500 free...swam her best time in the 1650 free at the NCAA Championships at 16:21.32...Placed fourth in the 500 free at the 2013 ACC Championships where she dropped six-seconds in the race in order to set a new FSU school record...placed sixth in the 1650 free and took 16th in the 200 free at ACC's...was awarded the Rookie of the Year at team's awards banquet.

High School: Holds seven Harrison High School records...earned All-State first team honors as a senior...selected to the Cobb Country First Team as a junior and senior in addition to being voted as Cobb Country's Swimmer of the Year as a senior...was the team MVP all four a 2012 Olympic Trial Qualifier in the 400, 800 free and 200 back events under the Marietta Marlins.

Personal: Born August 9, 1993...daughter of Craig and Lisa Jacobi...graduated from Harrison High School in 2012 where she was a four-year honor roll member...was the literature student of the year her freshman and senior year...a member of the National Honors Society and the Vice President of the French Honors Society...both parents swam for the University of Georgia...mother Lisa tied as SEC Champion in the 100 breast in 1986...swam for Marietta Marlins where she is coached Yit Aun Lim...plans to major in Psychology.
