200 Fly: 1:48.53 Holds Colombian National Records in all three distance events, 400m free (3:53.66), 800m free (8:05.98) and 1500m free (15:29.06)2011-2012: Was named as the 2011-2012 ACC Swimmer of the Year...earned All-American honors in the 1650 free at NCAA's with a seventh place finish at 14:42.77 which broke both the 1000 and 1650 free school records...took tenth in the 500 free at NCAA's at 4:16.32...qualified for the NCAA Championships during the Georgia Tech Invite as he swam two automatic cut times in the 500 free (4:15.43) and 1650 free (14:49.94) and was named as Performer of the Week by the ACC after that meet...was awarded the Swimmer of the Meet at the ACC Championships for capturing two golds and a silver over the week, touching in first in the 500 free and 1650 free while adding a second place in the 400 IM...broke the school record in the 400 IM at the Georgia Tech Invite with a time of 3:47.23...competed at the Pan- American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico for Colombia in the fall. 2010-11: Competed in the 2011 FINA World Championships in Shanghai, China and recorded a personal best in the 800 free (8:05.98) and placed 23rd in the event. Also swam the 200m and 400m free events... against Florida took home first place in the 1000 free (9:06.48), second in the 500 free (4:26.22), and fourth in the 200 fly (1:48.96)...at the Georgia Tech Invitational finished first in both the 500 free (4:21.72) and the 1650 free (15:01.92), second in the 200 free (1:37.88), and fourth in the 200 fly (1:48.53)...at LSU took home first in both the 1000 free (9:14.78) and 500 free (4:30.60), and finished third in the 200 fly (1:51.24)...Placed first in the 200 fly (1:52.57) against Miami, FAMU, and FGCU...against Florida Atlantic and Florida International placed second in the 200 free (1:41.92) and fifth in the 200 back (2:00.07)...at the All-Florida Invitational placed third in the 200 free (1:41.15), fourth in both the 1650 free (15:42.44) and 500 free (4:32.47), and finished 20th in the 100 fly (53.09).
