Tallahassee, Fla. - The Florida State men's and women's track and field teams hosted the final home meet of the season, as the Seminole seniors competed on Mike Long Track for the last time. Joe Allen and Megan Robbins both notched the top mark of the day in their respective events, whiles several other Seminole grabbed first-place finishes of their own.

After clearing 11-10.50 the evening before, the Florida State women's pole vaulting duo of Megan Robbins and Lindsay Osborn headed into their final home competition of the season on Saturday afternoon. Osborn matched her mark of the night before, while Robbins headed over the bar at a season-best 12-08.25. The mark was an NCAA provisional mark, and should move Robbins up the list, closer to her goal of traveling to Oregon for the NCAA Championships. Joining Osborn in the winner's circle was Keya Crutchfield. The Coatesville, Penn., native ran a 23.61 in the 200m dash for a first-place finish in that event. Teresa Bundy tallied a fifth-place finish in the same event, crossing the line in 24.05. Shauna Quinn and Tangela Wobbleton finished second and third, respectively in the 400m dash, coming in just behind former FSU sprinter Samantha George. Junior Laura Gerber added a second-place finish in the 800m run. The Netherlands' native looks to return to the NCAA Championships in the 800m after earning All-America honors in the indoor season. Nicole Scott grabbed the title in the shot put, tossing the implement 43-02.25, while Makiba Batten tallied yet another NCAA provisional mark in the discus, going a season-best 171-07.00. Junior Karen Rademeyer saw the most success of the day, claiming the gold medal in two events, as the Tulsa, Okla., native won the hammer (159-08) and the javelin (156-08).

On the men's side, Michael Jennings opened up the competition on the track with two strong performances. Jennings managed a second-place finish in the 200m dash (21.12) before claiming third in the 400m dash with a time of 46.74. Wade Brett and Maarten van den Heuvel both turned in strong performances in the 800m run, crossing the line in second (1:50.20) and fourth (1:50.39), respectively. Matt Mason turned in a third-place finish as well, as the freshman from Marietta, Ga., crossed the finish line in 50.16 against top level competition. The time was NCAA provisional, and just .06 off an automatic time. The finish could move Mason high enough on the list to earn and trip to Oregon. Shawn Brown cleared seven feet to grab the title in the high jump, while Jeff Atkinson continued to excel in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 16-06.75 for the win. Joe Allen went provisional in the long jump with a mark of 25-10.75, and won the triple jump as well, with a mark of 51-11.75. B.J. Linnenbrink and Ryan O'Donnell went 1-2 in the hammer to end the day.

Florida State will now send select athletes to the Georgia Tech Invitational on May18-19 before heading to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., on May 30.
