2002: Indoor – Voted to the ACC 50th Anniversary Women’s Indoor Track & Field Team…as the anchor of the FSU 4x400m relay team, Gerber helped the team finish with a season-best time of 3:49.7 and place fourth at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships…led the Lady Seminoles in the 800m and competed in the 400m and 600 yard run…provided the squad with top times at the Adidas Invite finishing at 1:22.42 in the 600 yard run…at the same meet, she finished with a time of 2:14.72 in the 800m…represented FSU in the 400m at the UNC Invitational and the Gator Invitational…Outdoor – Redshirted the outdoor season.
2001: Earned All-America honors for her accomplishments during the indoor season and established herself as one of the top 800m runners in the nation…finished third at the NCAA Indoor National Championship in the 800m with a time of 2:08.84…qualified for the NCAA Outdoor National Championship and finished 14th in the nation in the 800m (2:07.69)…named to the All-ACC indoor and outdoor team in the 800m…finished second at both the conference’s indoor (2:07.32) and outdoor (2:06.95) meet…set a personal-best time in the 800m at the Georgia Tech Invite with a time of 2:06 to finish second…set a career-best mark in the 400m with a time of 53.71 to finish third at the FSU Quad meet.
2000: Had an incredible season which included NCAA and national honors … was an Olympic Trials Qualifier for Zimbabwe after setting the national record in the 400m for her native country … integral part of the women’s 4x400m relay team which was crowned the conference champion after running a 3:38.77 … named All-ACC for the outdoor championships after helping her 4x400m team to a first-place finish … NCAA Championships Qualifier as part of relay team … returns the squad’s top mark in both the 400m dash as well as the 800m run … finished in third place after running a season-best 53.88 in the 400m dash at the Seminole Twilight Meet … ran the squad’s fastest 800m time of the season in 2000 (2:11.24) at the USTCA Meet … added a solid 400m performance at the Georgia Tech Meet where she ran 54.27.
1999: Showed improvement in her marks over the course of the indoor season...took home first place at the Iowa State Invitational in the 800m competition...captured the ACC title in the 800m and posted the conference best time in the event for the indoor season...member of the 4x400m relay team that placed eleventh at the NCAA Indoor Championships and competed in the NCAA Outdoor Championships...recorded a season best time of 54.21 in the 400m competition at the FSU Relays...took home first place at the Florida Relays in the 800m event with a team best 2:08.78 ...finished the season as one of the top five ACC performers in both the 400m and 800m.
Prep: Recorded a time of 55.06 in the 400m and 26.40 in the 200m at the age of 16...broke the Zimbabwe Senior record in the 400m and 4x400m...participated in track, horseback riding, squash and tennis in high school.
Personal: Brother, David, was chosen to run the 800m in the Olympics for South Africa...plans to pursue a career in coaching... born October 29, 1980.
