Emerged as a top high jumper in the Atlantic Coast Conference in 1999, and should continue to lead the ACC in the vertical jumps this season

2000: Notched a career-high mark of 7-1 at the USATF Indoor Championships … matched that mark earlier in the season at the conference championships which earned him an ACC Indoor crown … named All-ACC for both the indoor and outdoor seasons … was a national qualifier in the high jump … notched seventh- and second-place finishes at the ACC-SEC meet (6-08.75) and the Florida Meet (6-10), respectively … cleared 7-1 again in the outdoor season at the Georgia Tech meet and added a fourth-place finish at the Florida State Relays (6-11).

1999: Kicked off the indoor season with a top-10 finish in the high jump in his first collegiate competition ... placed fourth in the high jump event at the Florida Invitational ... top Seminole finisher at the ACC/SEC Challenge ... ended indoor season with the fifth-best high jump mark in the conference... performance at the FSU Relays was 18th best in Seminole history ... completed outdoor season with the second best jump in the conference …

Prep: Finished third in the district as a sophomore before eventually winning the district title his senior year in the high jump (6-6)...won the region (Houston) high jump competition with a jump of 6-8...a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Spanish Honor Society...

Personal: A communications (advertising) major...born July 29, 1980...very active in his church at home where his father, Jim, is the pastor...father held the school record in the high jump at the University of Maryland for a number of years.
