Long Named South Region Men's Indoor Track & Field Coach Of The Year
Florida State track and field head coach Terry Long was named the South Region Men's Coach of the Year by the US Track and Field Coaches Association. Long, who received this award for the second straight year and third time overall, was honored on March 13th in Fayetteville, Ark., site of the 2003 NCAA Indoor National Championships. (more) |

Janson Wins NCAA Indoor Pole Vault Title With Record Setting Mark
Florida State sophomore Lacy Janson won the NCAA Indoor National title in the women's pole vault Saturday with a NCAA record vault of 14-07.25. Janson, a three-time ACC champion (Indoor- 2002 & 2003, Outdoor- 2002), earned her third All-America honor (2002 Indoor and Outdoor) to go along with her national title. Her record setting mark eclipsed the previous record of 14-06 set by UCLA's Tracy O'Hara in 2000. Janson is the fourth Lady Seminole to win a national title at the NCAA Indoor Championships and the first since Tonya Carter's 60m dash title in 2000. (more) |

Track & Field Heads To NCAA Indoor Championships This Weekend
The Florida State indoor track and field team will send three men and two women to the 2003 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. this weekend.
