TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) - Four members of the Florida State men's basketball team - including sophomore center Michael Ojo - have been named to the 2013 ACC Academic Honor Roll as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference Office. Ojo was joined on the list by graduated seniors Joey Moreau, Rafael Portuondo and Terrance Shannon.

It marks the ninth time in the 11 seasons under head coach Leonard Hamilton that multiple members of the Seminole men's basketball team have been named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

Ojo (Lagos, Nigeria) earned 43 credit hours during his freshman season and earned a 3.114 grade point average.

Ojo played in 27 of the Seminoles' 34 games during his freshman season. He was inserted into the Seminoles' starting line-up on February 13 against Miami and was a starter for the Seminoles in nine of the final 11 games of the season. Ojo averaged 5.0 minutes played per game and played in double figure minutes in three different games including a career high 17 minutes in the Seminoles' home game against Miami. He scored his career high of three points in that home game against Miami (Feb. 13) and also in Florida State's victory over Maine (Dec. 9) in Tallahassee. Ojo's career-high of three rebounds came in three ACC games - in wins over Wake Forest (Feb. 26) and Maryland (Jan. 30) and at Miami (Jan. 27).

Moreau, Portuondo and Shannon all earned their bachelor's degrees from Florida State in May of 2013.

A total of 223 Florida State student-athletes were named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll for the 2013-13 academic year. The yearly honor -- now in its 57th year -- is given to student-athletes that participated in varsity sports and posted a grade-point average of at least 3.00 or better for the academic year.
