Brad Horton, originally from Columbus, GA, officially joined the Florida State University Athletic Academic Support staff in April of 2011. Brad serves as an Academic Program Specialist for the Football Team. In this capacity, he provides counseling and guidance to student-athletes regarding academic and personal skill development as well as monitoring NCAA eligibility requirements, advisement of courses, and assisting in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes.

Brad previously worked as the Academic Coordinator at Miami University. He oversaw the academic progress for student-athletes in Men's Football, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Men's Golf, Women's Soccer, Women's Track and Field, Men's Swimming and Diving, and Women's Swimming and Diving. Brad earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Mississippi State University in 2003 and a Master's of Science in Sports Management from Mississippi State University in 2008. Brad thrives off engaging student-athletes in the learning process while cultivating an atmosphere that promotes overall student development.

Brad is married to Monica Pearson Horton.
