    INTRODUCTION TO ATHLETIC TRAINING

This program, which meets the academic requirements for the National Athletic Trainers' Association, leads to a Bachelor of Science with a major in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine. In addition to the degree requirements listed in the program of study, this program also offers didactic, clinical, and field experience for students excepted in the program. Students will gain important hands-on experience in a variety of settings which may include: sports medicine clinics, area high schools, community colleges, professional teams and the Florida State University athletic department.

The Florida State University Athletic Training/Sports Medicine Education Program has been officially awarded candidacy by the Joint Review Committee on Athletic Training (JRC-AT) and is making application for national accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
