    What is an Athletic Trainer?
    "Certified athletic trainer (ATC) is a highly educated and skilled professional specializing in the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries. In cooperation with physicians and other allied health personnel, the ATC functions as an integral member of the athletic healthcare team in secondary schools, colleges and universities, sports medicine clinics, professional sports programs, industrial settings and other healthcare environments." (NATA, 2000)

    Where we work:
    There are currently two main athletic training rooms, which operate from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. during the normal business week. There are also five satellite medical prep areas located at the football practice field, the Seminole soccer/softball complex, Dick Howser Stadium, Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center, and FSU Basketball Training Center.
