Scott Moriak is in his first year as an SID Assistant in the Florida State sports information office and will serve as the media relations contact for the softball and women's tennis programs.
Moriak has worked closely with FSU Sports Information since 2004 when he became a member of the statistics crew for the men's and women's basketball programs. He also served on the official stat crew at the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament in Greensboro, N.C. from 2005-10.
In December 2008, Moriak began an internship with FSU sports information working primarily with the women's basketball and baseball teams. He served as an official scorer at home baseball games from 2009-13, controlling the live stats operations on gametracker and other media sites. Gaining experience and skill over the years in interviewing, writing, editing, designing and statistics in all 20 of FSU's sports helped influence his decision to become a SID Assistant.
Growing up on a farm in Clayton, Wisc., (Pop: 500) Moriak came a long way to Tallahassee graduating from Florida State University in 2005 with a bachelor of arts degree in sport management and a minor in computer science.
