Kotick joined the Digital Media department in July 2008 and was elevated to his current position in July 2009. A proud Tallahassee native, Kotick oversees the multimedia content on Seminoles.com as well as the website's social media networks. Kotick is responsible for supervising the content on all of Florida State's facebook, twitter, and youtube pages, and has been instrumental in developing the social media message to attract fan interaction for Seminole Athletics. Additionally, he supervises the website's online video content through feature stories, interviews, and highlights on Seminoles.com All-Access for all 20 varsity sports at Florida State. Kotick is responsible for developing new and unique revenue for Seminole Athletics through online auctions, multimedia video, as well as youtube partnerships. Additionally, he is responsible for the day-to-day business operations for the Digital Media Department. He is a weekly contributor on the television shows Seminole Sports Magazine, the Jimbo Fisher TV Show, as well as other Seminole Productions programming. He has also called play-by-play on the ESPN3 broadcasts for Florida State Baseball throughout the past year. In July 2008, Kotick helped launch the Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter pages for Florida State University athletics, and all have enjoyed great success in the past four years. Kotick also finished his fourth season calling play-by-play for the Seminole Women's Soccer and Volleyball teams. Kotick graduated Magna Cum Laude from Emory University in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Political Science and also holds a master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the Grady College at the University of Georgia. In addition, Kotick is an avid bluegrass mandolin player and a member of the worship band at Every Nation Tallahassee Church. |
