Pensy is responsible for identifying and overseeing the execution of an annual strategic new media plan for all intercollegiate athletics teams using original editorial and photographic content, live and on-demand audio/video-streaming and social networking to increase brand awareness, generate revenue and enhance website traffic/user activity. Since becoming a part of the digital media industry, Pensy has launched the successful Seminoles.com podcast channel which has drawn national attention for its content and creativity. He serves as a key liaison for internal and external with web development, marketing, social media and video production partnerships. In addition, Pensy completed his tenth season as the Florida State women's basketball broadcast play-by-play announcer in 2012-13. He co-hosts the "Sue Semrau TV Show" and enters his ninth season as the coordinating producer for the Seminole IMG College Sports Network football broadcasts. Pensy started his career as the Information Technology Manager for Florida State athletics. In 2005, he was named Florida State's first Director of Digital Media. Pensy graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2002 where he earned a degree in Radio/TV with a minor in computer science. He went on to receive his master's degree in sport administration from Florida State in 2003, during which time he served as a graduate assistant in the Seminole ticket and business offices. Pensy and his wife, Jennifer, were married in May 2009 and are the proud parents of Carter. |
