Julie Kruessel is in her first year as a member of the Florida State University staff. She started in July 2011 as the head athletic trainer for women's basketball.
Prior to her arrival at Florida State, Julie spent the two previous years as an assistant athletic trainer at Texas Tech University. While at TTU, she was the head athletic trainer for women's basketball and assisted in the coordination of the athletic training student education program.
A native of Westerville, Ohio, Julie graduated in 2007 from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion and Education with a Concentration in Athletic Training.
Julie has been an active member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA) since 2003, and has recently joined the Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association (SEATA) and the Athletic Trainers Association of Florida (ATAF). She is a State of Florida licensed athletic trainer, an American Red Cross certified professional rescuer, and an Approved Curriculum Instructor by the Board of Certification.
