Eunice Hernández has served an assistant athletic trainer for Florida State University since September of 2003. Currently, she is the head athletic trainer with the Women's Softball and Women's Golf programs. From 2003 until 2006 she served as the head athletic trainer for the Women's and Men's Track and Field and Cross Country programs. During that time, she garnered two Outdoor Track and Field national titles (2006 & 2007), three East Region titles, four ACC Indoor titles, and three ACC outdoor titles with the men's team. Before leaving the track program, Ms. Hernández was involved in facility development for the athletic training room housed in the Mike Long Track fieldhouse.
In the 2007-2008 season, Ms Hernández worked with the Women's Soccer program which advanced to the Finals of the Women's College Cup for the first time in school history.
In 2008-2009, Ms. Hernández joined a brand new softball coaching staff in attaining a record of 44-16, the Seminoles' best record since the 2004 season. They also earned a bid as a NCAA Softball Regional host being the 16th seeded team in the nation.
Prior to arriving at FSU, Ms. Hernández attended graduate school at the University of Miami (FL). While completing a Master's of Science in Education with an emphasis in Sports Medicine, she also served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at UM with the Football and Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving programs. She was on the staff for the 2002 Rose Bowl National Championship as well as the 2003 Fiesta Bowl National Championship. In addition, she coordinated the Directed Observers' observation hours in the athletic training curriculum at UM. Ms. Hernández completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training at Barry University (Miami Shores, FL) in 1999. She is a native of Miami, FL.
Ms. Hernández is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association. She is also licensed in the state of Florida as an Athletic Trainer. Additionally, she is a certified professional rescuer and a CPR/First Aid/AED instructor through the American Red Cross.
In her leisure time, Ms. Hernández enjoys engaging in physical fitness, cooking and entertaining guests, and playing softball recreationally. Other interests include music and motorsports.
