FSU Student-Athletes Visit The Dick Howser Center

This past Sunday marked yet another year that Florida State student-athletes served as Celebrity Waiters to help raise money for the Dick Howser Center. Each year this dinner serves as a major fundraiser in order to provide supplies and the resources necessary for the children who attend the Howser Center. The Dick Howser Center is a non-profit organization that provides therapy, training, and educational instruction to children who show developmental impediment. Many of FSU's student-athletes perform hours of community service at the center serving as role models with a positive message.

The Dick Howser Center and Florida State Athletics have a unique relationship in that Dick Howser was a baseball coach at Florida State whose passion for developmentally challenged youth resulted in what is now seen in the Dick Howser Center. It is because of this relationship that makes it a privilege for student-athletes to serve as celebrity waiters raising money for a great cause, the children they serve.

FSU student-athletes, along side other local celebrities, raised over $45,000 for the children at the Dick Howser Center.

Womens Golf: Caroline Larsson and Jaclyn Burch
