On Saturday, April 17, over twenty student-athletes attended the Sunshine State SportsAbility event at Seminole Reservation. SportsAbility is the premier event of the Florida Disabled Outdoors Association (FDOA). The two-day event is all about enhancing lives and having fun with children and adults with disabilities.
SportsAbility provides first-hand access to resources and demonstrations of activities designed to encourage participation regardless of age or ability level. The FDOA is dedicated to recreation and healthy, active living, with the goal of making our community more inclusive.
The fun-filled day started at 9am and lasted until 3pm. Some of the events that took place will be jet skiing, archery, kayaking, sailing, canoeing, basketball, horseback riding, etc.
FSU Student-Athletes were on hand to assist and even participate in the events along side the children and adults. The following are the student-athletes who attended:
