March 19, 2004
A trio of current FSU Football players and a handful of former FSU Athletes spent their Spring Break in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Potchefstroom, South Africa on a 7 day voyage.
The trip to South Africa began Friday March 5th when they took off from Atlanta airport. After a 17 hour flight, the group arrived on Saturday, March 6th.
Chris Rix, Paul Irons, and James Coleman were on hand, along with Adrien Crawford (former Men's Basketball Player), Ron Miller (former Men's Basketball and Strength Coach), Corey Simon and Brett Williams (former FSU Football), and Gretchen Lackey (former Women's Track member).
The group spent their days talking to local High Schools, Colleges, Elementary Schools, and other local organizations about the American Culture, what it's like to be a Intercollegiate Athlete, how they got to where they are in life, and many other issues.
