Former Florida State men's basketball assistant coach Corey Williams has been named the new head men's basketball coach at Stetson, the school officially announced during a 2:30 press conference today.

Williams has been on Leonard Hamilton's FSU staff since the 2007-08 season. Since then, the 'Noles have compiled a 132-72 combined record during Williams' six-seasons stint in Tallahassee -- including one ACC Championship.

Williams is the second assistant coach under Hamilton to earn a head coaching job in the last three seasons, joining Andy Enfield, who took the top job at FGCU in 2011. Enfield is now the head coach at USC after last season's remarkable NCAA Tournament run by the Eagles.
