Former FSU RB Lorenzo Booker signs with Chicago

Former FSU tailback Lorenzo Booker now plays for the Chicago Bears.

The Chicago Bears and former Florida State running back Lorenzo Booker agreed to a one-year contract Tuesday.

Booker had spent the last two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings after being drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He also played briefly for the Philadelphia Eagles.

In 36 career NFL games, Booker has accrued 230 yards on 61 rushing attempts and 362 yards on 47 catches. He was primarily a kick returner in Minnesota and has a career mark of 879 yards on kickoffs.

Booker is the second former FSU player to join the Bears this off-season. Geno Hayes signed a free agent deal with the Windy City club after leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent.

With Booker's signing, there are now three FSU players on the roster with defensive end Chauncey Davis being the third.
