A full week into spring practice and here are a few observations from the early part of Monday's full-pads session.
Bryan Stork took the majority of the first-team reps at right tackle today in place of Bobby Hart. The depth chart, of course, is fluid so this doesn't mean Hart has been replaced as the starter -- it just means that Stork is getting some extended work in that position after playing both center and guard throughout his career.
With Stork on the right side, the rest of the offensive line remained the same through the early part of practice: Tre' Jackson at right guard, Austin Barron at center, Jose Matias at left guard and Cameron Erving at left tackle.
Sophomore running back Devonta Freeman may be out for the spring with a back injury but that hasn't stopped him from doing whatever work that he can. In this case, Freeman continues to spend practice with a football firmly grasped in his right arm as he watches from the sidelines.
Another running back with an injury, Chris Thompson is in a blue no-contact jersey but he continues to run with the first team. He has a broken left hand so he carries the ball with just his right hand and arm.
On special teams, here are the players that were working with the kick-return unit: Rashad Greene, Greg Reid, Lamarcus Joyner, Christian Green, Karlos Williams and Mario Pender.
If you missed the photo from last week's photo gallery, Pender has taken over Ty Jones' role as the player that runs and gives strength coach Vic Viloria a flying chest bump at the conclusion of stretching drills every day.
*Head coach Jimbo Fisher will address the media at the conclusion of practice so stay tuned to Seminoles.com later this evening for a full press release with video.
