If he keeps this up, they might as well just rename the award after him.

The "Voice of the Seminoles" Gene Deckerhoff has been named the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA) Florida Sportscaster of the Year, the association announced Monday.

Deckerhoff, who lends his voice for play-by-play calls for the Florida State/IMG Sports Network and the Tampa Bay Bucs Radio Network, has now captured the top sportscaster award in the Sunshine State for the 13th time in his career.

He's joined this season by the St. Petersburg Times' Gary Shelton, who earned Florida Sportswriter of the Year honors.

Deckerhoff just completed a 2011 football season for the Seminoles that saw him call his 400th career FSU game. Prior to the monumental game -- a Nov. 19 home contest against Virginia -- Deckerhoff shared his top 10 games and top 10 plays in 'Noles history.

    Congratulations to "The Voice."
