The
Hankin, known to many as the "Zookeeper" for the Animals of Section B, was a true ambassador for the Seminoles' baseball program. A gracious host of out-of-town visitors to Dick Howser Stadium at Mike Martin Field each spring, he spread FSU baseball news in a variety of ways, including his weekly columns on a pair of websites.
"On top of being a true Seminole, Drew was a great American,
because he never asked for anything in return," said
A 1990 graduate of
"Drew Hankin will always be remembered by Seminole baseball," Martin added. "The clock is ticking for the 2011 season to begin. It's because of you, Drew, and I will miss you deeply."
Here's your chance to share your condolences, as well as your favorite memories of the "Head Zookeeper":

Drew was an awesome person and a loyal Seminole fan. The baseball games will not be the same with out him leading cheers from Section B. He will be missed.
I don't know for sure, but I think Drew started the "Hot dog" cheer. That is my #1 favorite cheer of all-time.
