The sting of the loss is still there, but a big shout-out goes to the student section at Doak Campbell Stadium for packing the stands early and staying loud on Labor Day Night as Miami and Florida State squared off.
In his postgame press conference, legendary Seminoles head coach Bobby Bowden mentioned to the media how impressed he was with the fact that the FSU students came out in full force and so loudly represented their team so early before kickoff.
Support from the northeast stands at Doak has never been an issue but a large number of students showing up well after kickoff was pretty evident in recent years. If Monday night was any indication, it appears as though that may not be a problem anymore.
Jacksonville State is certainly no Miami but let's pack the student section before the fireworks of pregame begin on Saturday and keep it going as the season continues.
There are only five more home games left this season so let's make them count.
