Women's Hoops Banquet on April 15
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Florida State Women’s Basketball’s annual end-of-the-year banquet will happen on Saturday, April 15, at 7 p.m. on the second floor of the FSU Basketball Training Center.
The traditional gathering that always includes good food and plenty of recognition will follow a similar format in year’s past. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. and interested attendees can park in the main civic center lot, just a short walk to the main entrance of the practice facility.
The RSVP deadline to the open event is Wednesday, April 12. The cost to attend is $30 per adult and $12 for kids 12 years old or under. RSVP’s can be made by phone to Linda Goddard at 850-644-3641 or via email at Lgoddard@fsu.edu.
Part of the banquet will include honoring the winningest class in Florida State history with its five seniors. The combination of Gabby Bevillard, Brittany Brown, Kai James, Leticia Romero and Ivey Slaughter generated a school-record 106 wins over four years, including two NCAA Elite Eight trips and three Sweet 16 appearances.
Attendees may also sponsor a student-athlete’s meal. They can also reserve a VIP table next to the team, with the maximum being eight guests and $300 all-inclusive.
The Seminoles finished 28-7 overall in their 2016-17 season, finishing runner-up in the ACC regular season with a 13-3 conference record. FSU reached its third Elite Eight since 2010 and finished the year ranked seventh in the final USA Today Coaches’ Poll.
