TALLAHASSE, Fla. – The No. 32 Florida State Seminoles (17-11, 7-7 ACC) were selected as a two seed in the 2017 NCAA Tennis Team Championship for the 15th consecutive year on Tuesday afternoon. The Seminoles will travel to Fort Worth, Texas to face the Arkansas Razorbacks in the First Round of the NCAA Championship on May 12 at 11;00 a.m. Host TCU will face Jackson State in the first round.

The highlight of the regular season was the 4-2 victory over rival No. 15 Florida in front of over 1,700 fans at the USTA National Campus on March 10. Other notable wins include at Texas Tech, vs. Pepperdine at home, and 4-0 road shutout at Louisville in conference play.

Last week in the ACC Championship, Florida State defeated Clemson for the second time this season to advance to the quarterfinal round.

“It's always exciting making the tournament for the 15th year in a row,” Florida State head coach Dwayne Hultquist said. “We will be finished and through finals and have the ability to really focus on the matches coming up.”

With this year's selection, the Noles have now reached the NCAA Tournament 15 consecutive years, the longest streak in the ACC. Florida State is one of only five schools to have reached the tournament each of the last 15 seasons under a single head coach.

“We're proud of being in very elite company who have made the tournament 15 years in a row,” Hultquist said.

The selection marks the first time that Florida State will play in the Fort Worth Regional, and looking to reach the Round of 16 for the fourth time in Hultquist's tenure.
