Nov. 8, 2012: Florida State 28, Virginia Tech 22

EJ Manuel threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to Rashad Greene with 40 seconds to play as the Seminoles slipped past Virginia Tech on a Thursday night at Lane Stadium. That play was made possible by sophomore running back James Wilder Jr., who picked up seven yards on a fourth-and-1 to extend FSU’s go-ahead drive just moments earlier. On the ensuing Virginia Tech drive, sophomore safety Tyler Hunter picked off Virginia Tech’s Logan Thomas at the FSU 33-yard line to seal the victory. FSU is 23-12-1 all-time against the Hokies and owns a 13-5 mark against Virginia Tech at Doak Campbell Stadium. The Seminoles and Hokies will meet in Tallahassee on Sept. 3, 2018.
