Lindsay Biggs begins her second season as Florida State Women’s Basketball’s Director of Recruiting Operations. In her first year, Biggs was and continues to be responsible for coordinating recruiting travel schedules, managing the team’s recruiting database and communication plan as well as assisting in running the team’s basketball camps.
Biggs has played a key role in Florida State’s overall recruiting efforts, and she knows first-hand what it is like to be a sought-after student-athlete. Biggs was a solid four-year letterwinner at fellow Atlantic Coast Conference school Virginia Tech from 2006-10, making her name as a sharp-shooting 3-point shooter for the Hokies.
The Richmond, Va., native who was a McDonald’s All-America nominee holds the Virginia Tech record for most 3-point field goals made in ACC play with 84. In her junior season in the 2008-09 year, Biggs nailed a school-record 71 treys while shooting 36.6 percent from long range. In that season she averaged a career-best 12.5 points and 3.4 rebounds.
Over her four-year career, Biggs averaged 8.1 points and nearly reached 1,000 points overall (994). She was also a consistent shooter from the charity stripe, hitting 74-of-103 for her career (71.8 percent). As a freshman, she made all 17 of her free-throw attempts.
One of Biggs’ signature games at Virginia Tech came at No. 12 Maryland on Jan. 18, 2009, when she drained seven 3-pointers to mark a school record in ACC play.
A sociology major, Biggs was named to the ACC Women’s Basketball All-Academic Team following her senior season. Prior to her work at Florida State, Biggs worked at Third Party Account Management at Disney Sports.
