Senior Year (2002):Senior outside hitter Alex Sevillano was one of the most explosive hitters to wear the garnet and gold in 2002...played in every match during the 2002 season...named to the all-tournament teams at the Florida International Tournament and FSU Invitational...led the Seminoles and ranked third in the conference in service aces with 59, which ranks second on FSU’s individual season ace leaders...with 129 career aces, ranks seventh all-time at Florida State...finished the season third on the team in kills with 420...recorded a career-high 28 kills against Miami September 13th...recorded double-digit kills 22 times during the season...led the team in digs with 283.
Junior Year (2001): Saw action in every game in 29 matches...tallied 14 double-doubles...averaged 3.46 kills and 2.99 digs per game...ranked in the ACC’s top 10 in service aces and top five in digs...led the Seminoles with a season total of 332 digs and 986 total attacks...best performance by hitting percentage was a .625 showing at Jacksonville...tallied double-digit kills in all but six matches...saw her career-high in attacks against Fresno State at the Pepperdine Tournament with 59...set a career-high in digs with 22 against South Florida...totaled 41 service aces, 12 more than her freshman and sophomore seasons combined...was second on the team in kills with 384...tied her career-high in kills with 21 at Maryland in late October...compiled season highs in total blocks with 48 and digs with 332.
Sophomore Year (2000): Started the 2000 season strong, notching double-digit kills in eight of her first nine matches...named to the All-Tournament team for her performance in the Tallahassee Democrat Lady Seminole Classic...hit a career-high .682 with 16 kills in the second match of the Lady Seminole Classic against Southern Miss....had a career-high 21 kills twice, at Ball State in the championship game of the Ball State Tournament and against Alabama...notched double-digit kills in 17 matches...averaged 2.69 kills per game...tallied double digit digs 11 times, including a career-high 16 digs against Southeast Missouri State in the opening round of the Ball State Tournament...recorded 272 digs for the second-best mark on the team in that category ... led the 2000 squad with an average of 2.37 digs per game.
Freshman Year (1999): Played in 27 matches at the outside hitter and defensive specialist positions... recorded a season-high 12 kills and nine digs in first match vs. Wake Forest...had six digs in season-finale vs. Clemson...recorded five digs against both South Carolina and Georgia Tech…named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
High School: Earned first team all-state and All-Sun Coast honors as a junior and senior...was pegged the Pinellas County Player of the Year in final two seasons...named the 1999 Clearwater High Most Outstanding Female Athlete...garnered team Most Valuable Player honors following her junior and senior seasons...helped lead Clearwater to the conference championship in each of her four years and to three district championships...team was the Class 5A state champions in 1997 and the state runner-up in 1996...led the squad in digs and kills her senior year...set school records in 1998 for most kills in one season with 366...set a tournament record for most kills in one match with 28 at the 1997 state championships...selected the Fall Female Athlete of the Year in 1997...competed in track, swimming and synchronized swimming as well as volleyball...was a GTE Academic All Star…Dean's List and National Honor Society honoree...a National Merit Hispanic Scholar finalist.
