Senior Year (2002):All-ACC First Team and AVCA Division I All-Region Team selection Kristin Frye stepped up as a team leader in 2002...named to the ACC Tournament all-tournament team following her performances against Clemson, North Carolina and Georgia Tech...saw action in every match during 2002...earned all-tournament honors at the Barker GMC Classic and the Florida International Tournament, before being named the MVP at the FSU Invitational...finishes her career ranked 10th among FSU’s all-time career ace leaders with 115...led the Florida State squad and ranked seventh in the ACC in kills with 469, averaging 3.58 per game...finished the season with a hitting percentage of .297, which was best on the team and sixth best in the ACC...with 278 digs per game, finished second on the team...averaged 2.12 digs per game...was third on the team in total blocks with 89...broke the 1,000 career-kill mark November 15th, when she notched 10 kills against NC State...had a career-high 22 kills against Georgia Tech October 6th...tallied a career-high six service aces against Virginia November 3rd...recorded 10 double-doubles during the 2002 season.
Junior Year (2001): Played in all but two games of FSU’s 29 matches...led the team in service aces with 49...finished tied for fourth in the ACC for service aces per game (0.45)...set a career and match-high in digs with 22 vs. Northern Arizona...named to the all-tournament team following great matches against Fresno State and Northern Arizona at the Pepperdine Tournament...in Florida State’s second tournament of the season at Texas A&M, Frye led the way for the squad with 13 digs while contributing 24 attacks...added another double-double to her career with 10 kills and 14 digs against Wake Forest...finished the season with six double-doubles...had her best performance in hitting percentage at .611 vs. ACC opponent Virginia...compiled 10 or more kills in 10 matches during the season...achieved double-digit digs in 12 matches for the Lady Seminoles...with a career total of 95 service aces, she is only 10 from capturing a spot in the record books...finished second on the team in assists with 63.
Sophomore Year (2000):
Hit .207 for the season, while collecting 280 kills for the squad’s fourth-best mark in that category...notched 233 digs, more than tripling her career total (77)...had 69.0 total blocks and averaged 0.58 blocks per game...recorded a hitting percentage of .300+ in 13 matches, including seven over .400...hit .684 with 14 kills to set a new career-high in both categories at that point in the season...went on to break her career-kills record again, notching 18 kills two matches later at Ball State (9/9)...hit double digits in kills 14 times, including 15 kills against nationally-ranked Notre Dame...set a career-high 18 digs against UTEP in the Ball State Tournament... finished the regular season with a .316 hitting percentage, nine kill performance against Clemson.
Freshman Year (1999): Played in 14 matches as a right side hitter...sidelined with a hairline fracture to her right ankle suffered on October 3rd vs. Virginia and missed the final 16 matches...had double digit digs in three matches...recorded seven blocks in Liberty match...season-high eight kills came at Northern Illinois...named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
High School: Hails from Northrop High School, the same school that former FSU standout Holly Schneider attended...was a 1998 USA Volleyball First Team All-American...selected to the 1998 National Gatorade Circle of Champions...pegged the state of Indiana's 1998 Gatorade High School Girls Volleyball Player of the Year...was a member of the 1998 Indiana state All-Star Team...earned all-area and first team all-state honors in senior season...garnered News-Sentinel All-Area team honors in final season...was a two-time first team all-conference selection...helped lead squad to the 1996 and 1997 conference championships...played club for the Fort Wayne Juniors and her team finished second at the USA Junior Nationals in 1998...competed in basketball for two years and swimming and tennis for one year...was listed in Who's Who in Sports High School All Stars...named in Who's Who Among American High School Students in 1996-1997...maintained a 3.7 GPA throughout high school.
