Florida State Women's Soccer Tops Stetson

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State Women's Soccer team put another win on their record with a 3-0 victory over Stetson Friday night. The Seminoles go to 5-7 on the season (3-1 at home) as the Hatters drop to 1-8-2.

Junior Jill Ford led the Seminoles with 10 shots as they out shot Stetson 31-1. With 14 shots in the first half, their first goal came in the 50th minute by an unassisted free kick from Angela Bonaffino. Alexandra Osario re-entered the game after being injured 2 minutes into the first half and scored the Seminoles second goal off an assist from Lauren Lynch in the 73rd minute. The team's final goal came in the 90th minute when Jessica Driscoll knocked one in off a pass from Stephanie Dietrich.

Osario left the game injured in the 2nd minute of the game but did return while Stetson player Carie Cooper left the game in the 63rd minute after taking a hard kick to the eye. One yellow card was given to a Stetson player in the 38th minute.

Florida State will host Louisiana State on Sunday at 2pm.
