FSU's Lemoncello Qualifies For Nationals

Tallahassee, Fla. - While on the East Coast, the Florida State track and field team got rained out, a group of several distance runners competed in Stanford, Calif., at the Stanford Invitational this past weekend. Junior Andrew Lemoncello (St. Andrews, Scotland/Stirling) came out of the 10K race with an automatic qualifying time of 28:44.97.

Sophomore Luke Beevor (Luton, England/Icknield) crossed the line in a time of 14:53.37 in the 5000m event while senior captain Ian Hornabrook (Southport, Australia/Rend Lake) was 22nd in 14:12.89.

Freshmen Kirsten Hagen (Blacksburg, Va./Christiansburg) and Laura Bowerman (Temple Terrace, Fla./King) competed in the 5K and 10K races, finishing in 17:43.94 and 35:37.79, respectively.
