* Since arriving in Tallahassee in 2005, head coach Mark Krikorian is a perfect 2-0-0 against the Gators and 4-2-0 lifetime. Krikorian went 2-2-0 against Florida as the head coach at Hartford. Entering Sunday's contest, Krikorian has won four straight over Florida outscoring the Gators by a margin of 9-2.
* Junior captain Sarah Wagenfuhr, Katrin Schmidt and Mami Yamaguchi are the only Seminoles who have played all 90 minutes against Florida over the past two years. NICE TO MEET YOU
Florida State and Francis Marion will square-off for the first time on Friday, September 7 in the Seminoles home opener. The match marks the second first-time opponent the Seminoles have faced in consecutive weeks, while the Patriots are the second of three first time opponents that FSU will play in 2007. Last week, FSU downed Cal State Northridge 6-1 in Portland in the first meeting between the two schools. The Seminoles will return home next Wednesday to face Troy in the last of the three first-time opponents. Florida State has fared well when facing a team for the first-time posting an all-time record of 38-27-3.

AGAINST THE GATORS
Florida State is riding a two-game winning streak including a 4-2 victory in the Seminoles last visit to Gainesville in 2005. Of the returning Seminoles on the 2007 roster, only three members of the senior class have experienced a loss against their intra-state rival, that coming in Tallahassee in 2004. Of those returning, Sarah Wagenfuhr, Katrin Schmidt and Mami Yamaguchi are the only players to play all 90 minutes against UF over the last two years. Nine of the 14 returners have played at least 25 minutes. Holly Peltzer has two goals against the Gators both coming in FSU's 4-2 win in Gainesville in 2005. Yamaguchi has tallied an assist and five total shots, including four shots on goal, while Schmidt has an assist. Yamaguchi and Schmidt each assisted on one of Peltzer's two goals two years ago.

HOT START FOR MAMI
Junior Mami Yamaguchi began the 2007 season as Florida State's leading returning scorer as she ranked third in scoring a year ago with 16 points (6 goals, 4 assists). After the first two games of the season she is half way to those numbers with three goals and two assists. She assisted on Holly Peltzer's goal against Portland, while registering her second assist of the season and her first career multi-goal game with a hat trick against Cal State Northridge. Her shooting percentage has been lights out through the first two games as six of her first nine shots have been on goal.

HOLLY TALLIES GOAL
Senior midfielder Holly Peltzer scored the lone goal in Florida State's 2-1 overtime loss at Portland to open the 2007 campaign. The goal came in just the second minute of action and was the first for Peltzer since 2005 when she tallied a season-high seven goals for the Seminoles. After registering just one point on an assist as a freshman, Peltzer had a break out sophomore campaign boasting 15 points on seven goals and an assist. In 2005, she single handily beat the Florida Gators on the road as she came off the bench and broke a 2-2 tie with two goals to give FSU a 4-2 victory. Peltzer's last goal came against Florida Atlantic in the first round of the 2005 NCAA Tournament in Gainesville, Fla. Ironically, seven of the eight career goals scored by Peltzer have come on the road with three coming in Gainesville.
