TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - After helping the Seminole volleyball team to a victory over Duke Sept. 28, junior volleyball Cerina Pele sat down with seminoles.com to talk about what she most enjoys about being a student-athlete at Florida State, her teammates and what she brings to the team on the court.

What do you want to do after school? I would like to start my career in Television and Movie broadcasting.

What is your all-time favorite movie? This year it would have to be "Sweet November."

What is your most memorable moment here at Florida State as an athlete? When we played Duke last year in the ACC Tournament.

Why did you come to Florida State? I wanted a warm climate with local beaches. I needed to adventure out in the world for four years.

What was/is your hardest and easiest class here at FSU? My easiest class was my meteorology class because I connected with the professor. And my most difficult class I am taking right now. Religion is tough because it takes a lot of time with having to read a novel a week.

What was it like growing in Gardena, CA? I matured really fast at a very young age. I also like being surrounded by all of the beaches.

Which teammates have became very good friends with you? This year everyone is really close, so I would have to say all of them.

How do you contribute the most for your team? I am really vocal on and off the court. I also lead by example.

If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why? My grandpa, because he never got a chance to see me excel academically or in sports.

Who has inspired you the most in your volleyball career/ Why? My dad! He gave me traditional ethics. And my high school coach for teaching me aggressiveness to play at a high level.
