Tallahassee, FL - The honors and awards continue to roll in for Seminole senior India Trotter. The Plantation, FL native was named one of 11 MVP's by Soccer America magazine today. She is the second Seminole to ever receive that honor after Selin Kuralay won the same award following the 2005 season. Trotter also led a group of seven Seminoles named to Soccer Buzz's all-southeast region team. FSU was tied with North Carolina for the most all-southeast region selections.

Trotter was one of three ACC players named to the Soccer America MVP list. She is joined by North Carolina's Yael Averbuch and Heather O'Reilly. Five of the 11 members of the squad played in the 2006 College Cup. Trotter was one of four forwards to make the list. Trotter was previously named a first-team NSCAA All-American in 2006, making her the first two-time NSCAA All-American in school history.

The FSU senior was one of seven Seminoles honored regionally by SoccerBuzz. She was joined by Selin Kuralay and Katrin Schmidt on the first team, which was tied with Florida for the second-most first team selections. Kelly Rowland and Ali Mims were each named to the all-region second team and Mami Yamaguchi was named to the third team. Freshman defender Becky Edwards was named to the all-southeast region freshman team.
