Bowles Earns ACC Performer Of The Week Honors After Perfect Weekend

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Sophomore Clint Bowles was named the ACC Performer of the Week after going undefeated in singles and doubles last weekend against Furman and No. 27 Rice.
The Tampa, Fla., native clinched FSU's match with Furman on Friday afternoon with a 6-4, 6-4 win against No. 106 Bo Ladyman. He also won his doubles match against the Paladins with freshman Chris Reiman. On Saturday Bowles and junior Jean-Yves Aubone defeated the No. 46-ranked doubles team in the country from Rice, Christoph Muller and Tobias Schiel 8-5. The 55th-ranked player in the country then upset No. 28 Bruno Rosa 6-4, 6-4 to earn his fourth victory of the weekend.
This is the third time Bowles has been named ACC Performer of the Week in his short career. He earned the honor twice last season as a freshman. The Seminoles continue their four match home stand this weekend as they open ACC play against rival No. 24 Miami on Saturday, February 28, at 11:00 a.m.
